Rated 5 out of 5 by MissMoneyPennies I like this Italian style dried herbs mix and use it when making a home-made pasta sauce which is healthier than a jar and takes no time at all to prepare. Soften/brown chopped onions in 2 tablespoons of sunflower oil, add a teaspoon of sugar, a tin of chopped tomatoes, a good squirt of tomato puree, a tablespoon of olive oil, a generous pinch of dried herbs, a good splash of balsamic vinegar, pinch of pepper, cover loosely with a lid or tin foil and simmer on a low heat for 15-20 minutes to thicken. Can add mushroom, peppers, sweetcorn or browned mince for a bolognese sauce. Will keep in the fridge for 2 days once cool. 04 August 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Verified Reviewer Excellent product! I love this product for all sorts of cooking! You can add it to any dish that has a potato influence, in mash or sautéed & great in mince dishes such as spaghetti bolognese & shepherds pie! 13 February 2013
