Directions:

Christmas Pudding Recipe Recipe Ingredients: 1 Pack Gem Christmas pudding fruit mix, 225g breadcrumbs, 225g butter or margarine, 225g Demerara sugar, 115g flour, 1 apple (grated), 4 eggs, 250ml stout, ½ orange rind and juice, ½ teaspoon mixed spice, 100ml of whiskey, ½ teaspoon nutmeg or cinnamon, 1 teaspoon ginger, ½ teaspoon baking powder Step 1: Beat the butter and sugar to a cream Step 2: Add flour and breadcrumbs alternately with the beaten eggs Step 3: Add all the dry ingredients and stir in the stout, whiskey and orange juice Step 4: Put the mixture into a well-greased 2 litre pudding bowl Step 5- Cover with greaseproof paper and a layer of tinfoil and tie down securely Step 6: Sit bowl into a large pot of boiling water cover with lid and steam for six hours. Topping up boiling water regularly. Step 7: Allow to cool in a bowl overnight
