What is it?

Holland & Barrett Natural Evening Primrose Oil has been extracted from the seeds of the wildflower using the cold-press method and enriched with Vitamin B6, which contributes to normal energy yielding metabolism and can contribute to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

What Are the Benefits of Evening Primrose Oil?

• This combination provides linoleic acid (LA) and gamma linoleic acid (GLA), both omega-6 essential fatty acids that the body can’t produce by itself and must be supplied through diet or supplements. The body metabolises GLA from LA, which can also be found in safflower, hemp, and sunflower oils. It is also found in human breast milk.
• GLA is used by the body to make hormone-like substances called prostaglandins. Vitamin B6 contributes towards the regulation of hormonal activity.
• Cholesterol metabolism has also been linked to linoleic acid – it contributes to maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Linoleic acid contributes to maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10g linoleic acid.
