Rated 4 out of 5 by FreyaViolet from Different to what i thought it would be like This had a very soft and pleasantly mushy texture, and i wouldn't have guessed it was made of peanuts. Eaten cold i think it would probably be a bit bland, but i sliced it into 1 inch thick rounds, shallow fried them til golden and ate with my meal instead of burger patties. Pleasant taste, not overpowering. Would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carol212121 from Good versatile source of protein This a great source of protein and can be used in many ways. Myself, family and parents have been eating it for more than 65 years and our favourite is to chop up with the Mock duck and make into a vegetarian 'Steak & Kidney' steamed pudding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Acanthe from Good product! I know some people have complained this product was a bit bland - and there are days when it feels like this. But funny enough, I noticed this has a lot to do with what you have eaten before, how sensitive your taste buds are and so on. The Granovita Nut Luncheon itself is a little bit sweet and it's great when you add spices or condiments. I will also try frying it like a schnitzel - but you can add it to salads or as a replacement for chicken meat and so on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GreeneyedGirl from Versatile and delicious! I remember this when it was called Nuttolene, upwards of thirty years ago and was so chuffed to find that H&B stock it under its new name. I've been vegetarian for 30 years and it's the best tasting and most versatile meat substitute I've ever come across. Great sliced cold as 'luncheon meat', thickly sliced and browned in the oven or chopped up and added to just about any recipe. The only downside is mastering the 'getting out of the tin', but once you have you feel smug and as if you've earned your stripes :) (Okay, open both ends of the can, remove one end only, run a thin sharp knife around between the 'meat' and the inside of the tin, then brace the other end against something long and hard - hubby holding a broom handle would do! - and push the meat out. Remove the other end.) Not so easy if the can is dented but worth the effort. I keep loads of this is the cupboard as a go-to staple. Great stuff!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Henrysgirl from A cupboard staple Don't know how I would cope without some tins of Nut Luncheon in my store cupboard. It can be eaten raw, grilled, fried or baked, on it's own or in recipes or sandwiches. A must-have for me.
