Rated 5 out of 5 by DeeM from Organic and tasty I really like this spirulina made by Naturya. It is very tasty and very versatile. I have added to smoothies and it really work. It is also great added to pasta dough, soups and bread. I am experimenting with it and it adds flavours and makes a change by adding a different colour. Above all this, what I really like is that it is organic and the packaging is well designed. So, another thumb up from me for another good Holland and Barrett product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Salanita from Great product I've added this to a post gym smoothie & to pesto to have with my pasta/roasted veg & you cannot even tell its in there! Even though it has quite a pungent smell, that might put you off don't let it. The benefits totally outweigh the smell! Definitely gave me a boost after training & as a vegan it's a brilliant source of protein.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DebbieF from Great with smoothies and juices Made a lovely smoothie with an apple, some ginger and spirulina, was very tasty, and have since tried many combinations. Also added it to my pasta sauce and am finding lots of other ways to add it into my food. Love this superfood.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Joon from awful taste I have never tasted anything so awful than Spirulina, no matter how beneficial this might be for your health, I will never drink this ever!! Its so vile that I threw up several times and the taste still lingers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by 0raCle from Should come with a warning: tastes & smells vile! Only received this a week ago. It's an experience and not a pleasant one. No way can I follow the advised daily dosage because this is revolting both in smell and taste = Imagine Rotten eggs! If I had known how bad this tasted, I would have bought Spirulina in tablet form instead. As it stands I can only manage the tip of a tea spoon in hot chocolate and have managed to put a teaspoon in a big pan of pasta in tomato sauce to which I added a fair amount of turmeric and cumin too to disguise the Spirulina. I know a lot of people say they put it in their smoothies. I don't want to buy ready made smoothies because they are full of sugar and I do not have the equipment or inclination to make my own so that's a no go. I first tried the powder in a big glass of beetroot juice, and it ruined my lovely tasting beetroot. I did manage to drink it all but also ended up having to drink 2 same size glasses of water afterwards to rinse the spirulina that had not dissolved and was stuck to the glass. This stuff floats and clumps and sticks to the sides of glasses and the sink. Pretty sure you can even use it to dye clothes instead of Dylon's Emerald Green dye! Anyway, in short, it's gross and I can see that pouch lasting me a long long while yet in view of the tiny amounts I can only manage. Got to be good for you because we all know what is good for you tastes disgusting and what is bad for you tastes delish. Next time, I'll buy the tablets.
