Gemma Newman

 A doctor for over 17 years, Gemma Newman has worked in many specialities as a doctor including elderly care, endocrinology, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry, general surgery, urology, vascular surgery, rehabilitation medicine and General Practice.


Dr Newman's specialist interests are in holistic health and plant-based nutrition as well as lifestyle medicine. In her practice she has come to understand that body, mind and soul are not separate, and that it is only in addressing the root causes of stress and disconnection that we can truly heal, from the inside out.

Guy Meadows

Author: Guy Meadows, Sleep physiologist

Dr Guy Meadows has a doctorate (PhD) from Imperial College, London and has been working in sleep for the past 12 years, 8 of which have been dedicated purely to helping clients overcome insomnia.

Guy spent four and half years working within the sleep research laboratories of the Royal Brompton and Charing Cross hospitals. His PhD investigated sleep in normal individuals and patients with sleep apnoea.

Guy is also passionate about educating people about the importance of mindfulness and how to achieve a greater quality of life because of this. He demonstrates a deep understand of personal well-being and uses his expertise to improve the livelihoods of others.

He is trained in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

He is a pioneer of the use of ACT and Mindfulness for insomnia. He regularly talks and runs training workshops on both subjects and is seen by many as one of the leading experts in both fields.

He is the author of The Sleep Book: How To Sleep Well Every Night and is passionate about helping people get to sleep every night, naturally.
 

Nerina Ramlakhan

Author: Nerina Ramlakhan, Physiologist and sleep expert

Dr Nerina Ramlakhan is a physiologist and sleep expert. She worked for a decade conducting sleep and wellness programmes at Nightingale Hospital in London.

Nerina’s passion is for people to live more peaceful and fulfilling lives in these chaotic times. She coaches on burnout prevention at Ashridge Business School and works with individuals as well as numerous corporate clients from various industries.

Nerina is author of three books about sleep and energy: Tired But Wired (Souvenir Press, 2010), Fast Asleep, Wide Awake(Thorsons, 2016), and The Little Book of Sleep: The Art of Natural Sleep (Gaia, 2018).
