Berry & Ginger Crumble

Makes 1 large or 4 individual crumbles

Ingredients

  • 800g mixed berries such as strawberries, raspberries and blackberries

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely chopped

  • 30g sugar

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas mark 4. Mix the berries with the chopped ginger and add to the large or individual tins. Sprinkle over the sugar and bake for 10 minutes, or until the fruit is beginning to soften.

Step 2
Meanwhile, mix together the crumble ingredients. Rub the butter into the mixture until it looks like breadcrumbs.

Step 3
Once the fruit has softened, top with the crumble mixture and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until golden. Serve immediately with cream, custard or ice cream.
