These enzyme tablets contain a specialised formula with full spectrum of protein, fat and carbohydrate digesting enzymes along with betaine hydrochloride. When swallowed, betaine hydrochloride dissociates in the stomach, releasing free hydrochloric acid. This mimics the stomach's natural acidity, which is essential for protein breakdown and supporting nutrient absorption.
