    Sugar-free salted caramel apples

    Ditch the sugar this Halloween and make your goodies sugar-free!

    Try our take on traditional Toffee Apples, made with sticky dates for a delicious and virtuous taste of salted caramel.

    Serves 3

    Ingredients

    • 3 apples
    • 3 sticks
    • 250g divine dates *
    • 230ml boiling water
    • 50g chopped nuts * (or topping of choice)
    • Pinch of Pink Himalayan Salt *

    Method

    Step 1
    Soak the dates in 230ml boiling water for at least 10 minutes, then whizz up in a blender with a pinch of Himalayan salt until a smooth paste has formed.

    Step 2
    Insert sticks into the stem side of the apples and dip into the date paste until fully covered. Coat in chopped nuts or your topping of choice, then refrigerate for a few hours to firm the caramel before serving.
