Created by bees that forage on New Zealand’s leptospermum scoparium, or manuka bush, manuka honey is big news on the alternative health scene. With a distinctive flavour and antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, it is pretty special stuff, but is the manuka honey price point really worth it?
Produced by hives in wild, uncultivated areas, true manuka honey, such as Manuka Pharm’s multifloral MGO 40 honey, has been employed by indigenous Maori people for thousands of years.
