Description

Life is a whole lot nicer when you feel strong, healthy and ready to take everything in your stride. The amazing antibacterial goodness of Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey can help and tastes pretty delicious too!

Whether you frequently catch those annoying coughs and colds going around the workplace or feel a bit weakened in general when winter comes around, Manuka honey could help you feel a whole lot better. It’s so easy to incorporate into your daily routine too, so why not try stirring it into a warm cup of your favourite herbal tea, drizzling it into thick Greek yoghurt, or simply popping a spoon of it straight into your mouth?

What does Manuka honey mean?

Manuka honey’s uniqueness lies in its impressive DHA levels. DHA is a chemical produced naturally by the mighty Manuka bush, which gets converted into MGO (methylglyoxal) by the Maillard reaction in the honey-making process. Manuka honey contains DHA because the bees who make it predominantly collect nectar from the Manuka bushes of New Zealand to make their honey.

Now, you may be thinking how do we know that the bees visited the Manuka bushes? At Manuka Pharm, they don’t spend their lives following around the fuzzy little things to see where they collect their honey, they rely on science to do the detective work. For honey to be classed as Manuka, scientists in New Zealand-approved labs test each and every batch of Manuka honey to see if it contains the four chemical markers and MGO levels that make it authentically Manuka.

What are some Manuka honey benefits?

Thanks to its high levels of DHA, Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey packs an impressive antibacterial punch. It can help to calm and soothe the symptoms of the common cold and flu, like sore and inflamed throats.

Perhaps best of all, it does all of this while tasting utterly delicious. Manuka honey is richer and creamier than normal honey, so it will make a tasty addition to your morning bowl of oats, give a sweet and healthy touch to your fruity morning smoothie or make part of a sticky-sweet marinade for salmon or tofu.

How do I know Manuka Pharm Manuka Honey is authentic?

All Manuka Pharm Manuka honeys can be traced right back to the beekeeper and individual hive it came from. Each Manuka honey batch is also tested extensively before leaving the shores of New Zealand, so you don’t have to worry with Manuka Pharm!
