LongevityTM L-ergothioneine by New Nordic is a food supplement in the form of vegan tablets. The tablets combine the innovative compound L-ergothioneine, a naturally occurring amino acid derivative obtained only through the diet (particularly from mushrooms), with selected vitamins and minerals that support cell health and brain function. Vitamin A contributes to the process of cell specialisation, while zinc supports normal cell division, DNA synthesis, and cognitive function such as memory and concentration. Together with selenium, zinc also contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress and to the normal function of the immune system. Selenium further contributes to normal sperm cell formation and thyroid function. Thiamine (Vitamin B1) contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and normal heart function. Vitamin C supports the normal function of the nervous system, while both vitamin C and niacin contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
