Fresh, green and resinous - like walking through a pine forest, Cypress essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the tall, conical evergreen tree.
Soothing for the emotions and used widely in meditation, associated with renewal and transition, it also has an astringent property which can benefit the skin and internal bodily systems.

Directions:
MASSAGE: Add 5 drops of essential oil to 10ml of blending oil.
BATH: Add 4 to 6 drops of essential oil to 20ml of blending oil & swirl into water.
VAPORISING: Add 6 to 8 drops of essential oil to a vaporiser or burner.

I use this essential oil to counteract the smells from caring for my sick husband. It imparts a wonderful clean scent to my hair and clothes. Sprayed in the sick room it freshens the air. Also brilliant on gauze attached to the underside of the lid on wastebin.
