Are you shopping around for the best Omega-3 supplements or best fish oil supplements and aren’t sure which one to choose?

Unless you know your omegas from your fish oils, selecting the right supplement that does what you need it to can be a bit of a minefield. Fortunately for you, we do know our omegas from our fish oils and so do many of our customers.

In fact, we’ve created this article based on their feedback on the best omega fish oil and best fish oil supplements right now.

Why do our bodies need Omega-3?

Omega-3 fats and oily fish are widely associated with helping improve heart health, which has been backed up by widespread research. The Omega-3 fats, EPA and DHA, can help contribute to normal vision* and normal heart and brain function*.protect the heart and blood vessels from disease by:1

Where can you get Omega-3 from?

Omega-3 fatty acids are present in foods, particularly fish and flaxseed. You can also get it from fish oil supplements, such as oil and capsules, too. These foods all contain Omega-3:2

  • Fish and other seafood
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Plant oils
  • Fortified foods

What’s the difference between Omega-3 oil and capsules?

Quite simply, Omega-3 oil is a way of taking Omega-3 in liquid form, while the capsules contain doses of Omega-3 fatty acids. Some people prefer to take the capsules because they’re an easier way to swallow and digest the Omega-3, but others find taking a teaspoon of it, or whatever the measurement may be, is ok for them. It very much depends on your personal preference.
