Pre-workout berry & manuka honey smoothie

You want your pre-workout to be simple, but by no means should it be boring.
Parent blogger Father Fitness shares his morning fuel with not one, but two, superfoods.
Blueberries have antioxidants that can help regulate blood sugar and support the cardiovascular system.
It’s also super easy to customise to your taste; but don’t miss out on the manuka honey.
Smoothies are ideal to grab and go - perfect if you’re heading to the office after your workout.
Ingredients
1 banana
1 cup of blueberries
150ml almond milk (or milk of your choice)
150ml water
1 tsp Manuka honey
1 tsp desiccated coconut
1 sprig of mint
Method

Chop the banana and add it to the blender, along with the milk, water and blueberries.

Add in the teaspoon of Manuka honey (the higher the MGO, the higher the level of antioxidants!) and blend together until smooth.

Pour into a glass, and top with coconut, a few blueberries and a sprig of mint.
Fruit can be substituted depending on your preference, but don’t forget the Manuka honey for that extra energy hit to improve your work-out!
